I collect not only stamps, but covers ("dirty old envelopes") and postcards. … I am interested in the history of WWII, the Vietnam War, the Philippine Insurrection, and the military fracas that resulted from Pancho Villa's raid on Columbus, NM. … Airliners fascinate me, those that pulled themselves through the air with propellers). A related interest is airline crashes, probably because I survived the crash of a U.S. Forest Service “birddog” plane in New Mexico in 1962.… Some bio factoids: I earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri in 1969, worked briefly in journalism, taught school for 17 years, then enjoyed a decade of professional photography. … My wife, Susan Overturf Ingraham, and I now live in the West End of Vancouver, British Columbia. Susan is a fitness instructor at the West End Community Centre; I am active in the BC Philatelic Society. We have one son, Paul, is a massage therapist who now writes about issues related to musculoskeletal health and therapy.
